Informatikhauptschule Gratwein

Welcome to Informatikhauptschule Gratwein

Dear friends in Spain, in the Netherlands and Latvia,

Welcome to our school in Gratwein, Austria. Gratwein is a village near Graz, the capital city of Styria.
At our school study about 210 students. So it is not really a big school.
Our English teacher, Christa Tippl, met your English teachers Javier, Susan and Baiba at the course in Brussels. She told us and some other teachers about the project “ The Little Prince”. Our Arts teachers got so interested that they started working on the project in their lessons immediately.
But before we tell you something about our project we want to answer to the questions of our Spanish friends and also say something about ourserleves.
We are all twelve or thirteen years old and we are in the sixth year. Like you we also love sports such as playing football, skateboarding and skiiing or snowboarding in winter. Have you ever been skiing or snowboarding?
Our teachers are quite nice and they don’t give us a lot of homework at the weekend. We don’t have an English classroom or smartboards. But we do have a nice Information technology room with lots of material in English.
We speak German and English (unfortunately no CASTELLANO or CATALÀN).
By the way we think we are beautiful, too:)
Tschüss,Good-bye for now!
Lots of greetings from Austria
The 2f class

Here you can see us working on our crowns for the little prince. We are going to play small scenes from the play. We are going to play them in English, French and Greek, because our Arts teacher speaks French fluently and one of our teachers is Greek by birth. So we are going to make it really international.
